Inverurie may soon have a charity to takeover the management of council owned buildings to benefit community groups in the Garioch capital.

The proposal to set up an Inverurie Community Development Trust is one of the main proposals in an important new report on Tuesday, November 28, 2006.

Will Aberdeen bypass help Inverurie?

The next meeting of the IBA will be held on Tuesday 28th November 2006 in the Kintore Arms from 12.15pm. There will be a finger buffet. The subject for this meeting will be the Aberdeen By-pass (Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route). This new link south is likely to have a major impact on Inverurie. Dr Beattie will bring ‘light’ to business

Dr Jim Beattie, the man behind a new Inverurie business start-up, will be shedding some light on proceedings as one of the guest speakers at the Inverurie Business Association annual general meeting.

Dr Beattie has stepped down from being a full-time GP at the Inverurie Health Centre to run his new venture – The Grampian Cosmetic Clinic – at 1 High Street, Inverurie. The special laser machines he has installed use high intensity light to treat a range of conditions.

“It’s appropriate to have one of Inverurie’s newest business start-ups at the agm,” said IBA chairman John Glover who has recently launched Larsson Developments also based at 1 High Street.
